Role Description The Quality Manager is a key role within the business and is involved with all decisions associated with product quality and food safety. Responsibility to prevent the use of any material that fails to meet technical requirements. You will have strong relationship management skills and act as the interface with other stakeholders across the business. You will be passionate about continuous improvement and ensuring best in class processes are upheld and adhered to. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills combined with a focus on achieving deadlines and maintaining the highest quality output. Additional responsibilities include: Ensuring the safety of the technical team Innovation and continuous improvement Achievement through people Audit ready everyday Vision and strategic planning Policy compliance Remote on-call technical coverage one weekend in three Some travel with overnight stays Competent people manager This role will require flexibility regarding working hours which may involve shift work or weekend work, depending on business needs. Skills and Experience As Quality Manager you will possess strong interpersonal skills and have the drive and determination to achieve results through people and deliver to deadlines. Have a food safety science background (degree desirable), with a proven track record in a quality management position within a food environment. Experience in facilitation of meetings and dealing with UK retailers and third-party accreditation authorities. HACCP certified to a minimum of least level 3. To be successful in post you will be confident, robust, and resilient. You will have the ability to manage and develop a team.
