We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate individual who can lead the Mathematics department and contribute to the success and growth of our school. As the Head of Maths, you will have the responsibility of managing and inspiring our talented students, while promoting a love for Mathematics and nurturing their mathematical abilities. Collaborating closely with our dedicated teaching staff, you will have the opportunity to develop innovative curriculum and instructional strategies, ensuring that our school continues to provide an exceptional learning environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Maths department, ensuring the delivery of an exceptional and engaging Maths curriculum
- Provide guidance and support to Maths teachers, fostering a collaborative and positive teaching culture
- Monitor and assess student progress in Maths, implementing interventions when necessary
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies
- Mentor and support Maths teachers in their professional development
- Contribute to the school's Maths program and extracurricular activities
- Maintain accurate records of student assessment, attendance, and behavior
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, Specialization in Mathematics or a related field, Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (preferred), Extensive experience in teaching Mathematics, preferably in a leadership role, In-depth knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum, Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest trends in Mathematics education
