Main Responsibilities and Duties of the Client Director:
The Client Director's primary responsibilities and duties include:
- Meeting with and onboarding new clients to the firm.
- Cultivating and nurturing strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and retention.
- Providing ongoing support to the team and addressing complex queries from clients.
- Serving as a mentor to accountants across various offices within the group company.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate ideally possesses accreditation from ACCA, CIMA, or ACA and demonstrates comprehensive experience across various facets of general practice, including accounts preparation, taxation, and VAT. While a CTA qualification is advantageous, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will exhibit the following qualifications and experience: - Minimum of 10 years of experience in UK general practice.- Expertise in conducting thorough accounts reviews.
- Proficiency in finalizing corporation tax matters.
- Strong client management skills, including the ability to effectively engage with clients regarding their accounts and tax concerns.
- Demonstrated capability in team management, acting as a mentor to regional accountants.
- Providing sound tax advice to clients.
- Proficiency in cloud accounting platforms.
- Ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of clients.
The candidate should possess knowledge in the following areas:
- Ability to identify unfavorable client contracts or non-profitable client engagements.
- Strong grasp of money laundering regulations.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest legislative changes impacting the industry.
