Our client is a family-run operation based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, primarily focusing on light HGV vehicles.
We're seeking a candidate who can demonstrate independence as well as excellent team collaboration skills, possesses strong organisational skills, and is able to prioritise their workload. This role is primarily workshop-based and involves maintaining our extensive internal fleet along with external customer vehicles. Candidates may occasionally need to attend Manufacturer training courses, for which travel and accommodation will be provided.
Key duties will include:
• Performing routine weekly vehicle checks in accordance with O Licence
• Undertaking servicing, repairs, and maintenance.
• Preparing for MOT;
• Attending roadside breakdowns/callouts as per a rotational schedule, with additional payments
• Participating in Manufacturer training courses as required
Technical Skills/Qualifications/Experience Required:
• Qualified to City and Guilds level or equivalent in motor vehicle engineering
• Experienced HGV mechanic or Experienced Motor Vehicle Technician
• Driving licence required; HGV Class 2 licence would be advantageous
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £18.00 per hour
