Astral Legal have partnered with a Global Travel company in London.

The ideal candidate will be between 5-10 years PQE with experience working within the Travel sector and you will have the management of two junior lawyers.

Your duties will include:

  • Working with the business handling drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial Travel Agreements; advising on joint ventures, trade promotions, supplier contracts, consumer contracts, and negotiating a variety of travel industry legal Agreements.
  • The Legal team is approximately 4 people in the UK, you will report directly into the General Counsel.
  • Advising on regulatory and corporate governance matters applicable to UK, EU, and international business activities.
  • Proactively managing legal risk across the business functions and developing best practice and compliance guidelines for all aspects of our business.
  • Monitoring relevant IT and Travel Industry developments and undertaking ad-hoc legal research projects for management, working with the leaders in the business and updating them on all legal developments.
  • Providing mentoring to two Assistant Counsel colleagues.
  • This is a generalist Commercial In-House role.

The ideal Senior Legal Counsel will possess the following:

  • 5-10 years PQE experience
  • Experience working across the travel industry.
  • Strong commercial experience.
  • Experience working with the business.
