5D are proud to be working in partnership with a leading Midlands based Chartered Accountancy, who provide a variety of both personal and professional services, including accountancy, wealth Management, legal services, and conveyancing.

Due to a mixture of both investment and excellent growth we are now looking to recruit an Assistant Tax Manager to manage both an exciting portfolio of clients and to provide support, guidance, and mentor a small team of five people.

This role is ideal for those who are looking to progress their career to Tax Manager level and beyond.

What the role will involve for the Assistant Tax Manager:

  • Give hands on advice to a variety of clients.
  • Manage a portfolio of different clients. This can include audits, overseeing submissions and all private tax clients.
  • Work with your clients to define their requirements and then quote accordingly. Oversee the delivery of all work.
  • Be part of and input on tenders for new clients, along with existing clients.
  • Lead, guide and mentor junior members of the team.
  • Achieve the revenue target, which is set for all Managers. This can in most cases be hit from the client base.

What we are looking for in the Assistant Tax Manager:

  • Have practice experience.
  • Partial or full CTA, ACA, or ACCA.
  • Ability to build rapport and manage clients.
  • Previous experience within a similar role.
