Job Advertisement: Senior Social Worker - Looked After Children Location: Hammersmith and Fulham, London Employer: Hammersmith and Fulham Council Agency: Ackerman Pierce Ackerman Pierce is partnering with Hammersmith and Fulham Council to recruit a highly experienced Senior Social Worker specialising in Looked After Children. This pivotal role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of children and young people within a dynamic and supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver impactful children's social care services as part of a collaborative team, aiming to improve outcomes for looked after children. Efficiently manage caseloads, considering your experience, grade, and case complexity. Apply specialised knowledge to provide tailored interventions, assessments, care planning, and support for looked after children. Conduct thorough assessments using child-centred, community-focused, and multi-agency interventions to foster positive changes. Ensure the protection and support of looked after children in line with departmental policies, procedures, and relevant legislation. Identify and assess levels of risk and need, delivering protective or supportive services accordingly. Attend various meetings, including looked after children reviews and court hearings.Experience and Qualifications: Substantial post-qualifying experience within a statutory Children's Looked After role in the UK Social Care sector.
