Taylor Rose manages sensitive and important data and places huge importance on its safekeeping. The CISO is responsible for ensuring adequate systems, controls and processes are in place to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of customer, financial, personal and other critical data held and processed by the firm. With oversight of information, cyber and technology security, the CISO will develop, implement and enforce policies and systems to protect this critical data. They are responsible for the continual development of security process and controls within the business in response to changing security threats and risk. The CISO will be focused on developing and co-ordinating the company’s Information Security function and disaster recovery procedures and activities. This role can be based in local proximity to Peterborough or London.
Defining, implementing and overseeing information security frameworks, policies and procedures in accordance with the risk appetite of the firm and in support of the standards adopted. This applies to the security of data, networks, systems, backups, hardware and software.
Defending the business by building and implementing security process and procedure in order to protect against and respond to risk.
Leading on development and delivery of measures and metrics to support the assessment, reporting and ongoing improvement of the Information Security posture.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and business units to keep abreast of planned changes to technologies, working practices, and business activities that could have an impact on Taylor Rose MWs Information Security or risk profile.
Supporting the business in delivering quality and compliance, in order to drive down information security risks.
Ensuring Information Security is managed effectively throughout the IT service delivery lifecycle (incl. Ensure that information and Cyber Security risks to the business presented through suppliers and delivery partners are identified and managed appropriately.
Staying abreast of information security trends and threats and providing recommendations to the Board for the continual enhancement of information security practices.
Compilation, ownership and review of an information security risk register.
Maintaining and testing the Cyber Security Incident Response and Disaster Recovery Plans.
Development/building of emergency response team comprising of technical staff and non tech execs to provide leadership through security incidents.
Provide clear, supportive and engaging communications to staff about Cyber Security
Work with L&D to continue to develop Security Update training to be delivered to all levels of the business and use of current Mimecast Security Training
Knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems and processes, including firewalls, networking and security appliances.
Knowledge of software architecture and delivery best practices, both on-premise and cloud, particularly in the context of data and system protection.
Weighing up risks and options when trading off security against function.
Ensure risk levels are maintained across all areas of the business.
Ability to project manage and deliver to defined deadlines and budgets.
Effectively communicate relevant Information Security related information to all levels within the business.
Ability to manage crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems.
Ability to think strategically, building department plans and seeing through to fruition.
