Robertson Geologging is a world-leading manufacturer of geophysical logging equipment. A dynamic and energetic person is required to join our very successful team as an Export Shipping Clerk / Sales Administrator .

  • Preparing export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin etc.
  • Presentation of documents against Irrevocable Letters of Credit for export shipments.
  • Producing Certificates of Origin, EUR1 and ATA Carnets on EZ-Cert system.
  • Clearing imports through customs using customs brokers.
  • Obtain shipping rates.
  • Arrange shipment of orders using airfreight, sea freight, road freight and courier services.
  • Issue clear and precise customs entry information to freight agents and couriers.
  • Assist with the shipment of Hazardous Goods.
  • Obtaining proof of export documents to satisfy UK VAT requirements.
  • Assist with processing export sales orders, ensuring that all orders are checked and released to the manufacturing team once they have been entered into the system and that order acknowledgements are promptly emailed to the customer.
  • Liaise with Credit Control to check that pro-forma invoices have been paid and arrange for the prompt release of the shipment.
  • Assist in dealing with customer queries regarding items, delivery, and general information, resolving any problems that occur with customer orders, which may involve liaising with other departments.

Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE level in English and Maths as a minimum 
  • Previous experience (1 - 2 years+) of working in a similar role and dealing with irrevocable letters of credit 
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong time management and organisational skills 
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and approach problems in a logical and calm manner 
  • Experience of using processing systems such as SAP, with confidence in using and learning new technologies 
  • Good listening, verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Listens and is able to communicate effectively with managers and peers, both written and verbally
  • Team working skills.
  • This role requires a full five years of background referencing, including a criminal record check.
