Managing the day to day running of a busy household waste recycling centre, to ensure that it operates safely, remains compliant to regulations and meets set contract targets.

Ensure that the HWRC site is managed in a safe and effective manner, and that the contract requirements are met.
Assist site users in the disposal and segregation of waste and recyclable material.
Proactively address complaints from site users and resolve if possible.
Book annual leave and ensure that staffing levels are satisfactory for operational requirement for the site.
Induct contractors and oversee works that are undertaken on HWRC site.
Ensure Authorisations to work and permits to work are completed and issued to relevant tasks.
Provide leadership in emergency situations whether these are actual incidents or testing.
Liaising with other departments to ensure that waste material is collected in a timely manner.
Assisting with visits and audits from regulatory authorities and oversee undertaken inspections.
Basic knowledge of minor construction and repair work that could be needed on HWRC sites.
Understanding to methods and reasoning for segregation of waste and recycling.
