Senior Clinical Psychologist (Band 8a) - Older Adult Clinical Psychology (37.5hrs). Based in Flintshire.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to help make a real difference for people accessing Memory Assessment and Older People's Community Mental Health Services in North Wales, while contributing and being supported by a dynamic Older Adults Psychology team with strong links to the North Wales Clinical Psychology programme.
The BCUHB Older Adult Clinical Psychology department consists of a friendly and supportive team of colleagues spread out across North Wales with excellent ongoing peer-support, supervision, and mentoring, with competitive opportunities for training and career progression. You will receive professional leadership and support, with longstanding clinical and research links with the School of Psychology and the North Wales Clinical Psychology Programme at the University of Bangor, Wales. The successful candidate will benefit from BCUHB-wide professional links across the North Wales within Clinical Psychology, with opportunity for research and clinical networking both locally and nationally. - DClinPsy Qualification (or equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or those trained overseas)
- Significant post-qualification experience within Older Adults
- Experience of taking full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care, with experience of co-ordinating care within the context of multi-disciplinary care-planning
- Experience of specialised psychological assessment and treatment of a range of clients across a wide range of care settings
- Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision
- Knowledge of the theory and practice of at least two specialised psychological therapies
- The ability to work collaboratively with a range of multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Experience in neuropsychological assessment.
