Special Educational Needs Teacher

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have the expertise to deliver tailored lessons that make a real difference in a child's learning journey? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team on a temporary basis. Key Details:
Job Type: Temporary
Hours: Flexible (arranged around your availability)
Location: Child's home, local library, or school (as agreed)
Subjects: Core subjects (English, Maths, Science)
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver personalised lessons to meet the specific needs of the child
Use inclusive SEN learning strategies to create an engaging and supportive environment
Adapt teaching methods to suit a range of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) requirements
Monitor and assess the child's progress, adjusting lesson plans as needed
Requirements:
Experience: Experience with SEND students is essential
Qualifications: SEN qualifications are desirable, but not required
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE: Desirable but not mandatory
DBS Check: Must have or be willing to undertake a DBS check
Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK
To be eligible for the LSA role through Prospero Teaching you must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child-related references
Prospero Teaching can offer the successful candidate:

In-house Training and Development Team
Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy. The successful candidate will be required to register and have passed all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching in order to fill this vacancy. Any adult working with children and vulnerable young people are responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of the children and young people.
