PROJECT MANAGER – ELECTRICAL CONTRACTING Due to a substantial period of growth, this well-established electrical engineering contract business is looking to recruit an ambitious Project Manager to join the team at their Burton On Trent based head office. In taking full ownership of this exciting key role in the business, you will attract a highly competitive basic salary starting from £55k upwards depending on the level of experience and industry knowledge you can bring to the business. The role will also offer a car allowance, annual bonus, and pension. The Project Manager must be a driven individual with a full understanding and experience of electrical engineering design, MV/LV cabling systems and good commercial acumen. You must be comfortable with multiple project management, client site interaction and not be phased by occasional travel in order to meet the changing demands of the business. Experience of Electrical process engineering and Amtech/Autocad software would also be advantageous.. Job Description As Project Manager you will be confident to tackle all levels of project within an engineering environment with a collaborative approach. Additionally you will have experience and knowledge of;

  • Quoting electrical projects from enquiry to completion
  • Commercial acumen
  • Change management
  • Client liaison/Reporting to top management
  • MV/LV Cabling systems and interpreting electrical information
  • Contract Management
  • Process Engineering (Electrical)
  • LV Switchgear including ability to decipher faults from schematic diagrams.
  • Material procurement
  • Multiple project Management
  • Electrical Engineering Design (Amtech/Autocad)
  • Follow quality Management systems and procedures
  • Health & Safety at work Regulations
  • CDM Regulations
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE This company are very customer-focused, so the successful candidate must be able to think outside of the box and have a natural problem-solving ability to overcome challenges and provide solutions to client requirements. Additional skills
  • Experience with Amtech/auto cad preferred but not essential
  • Experience of successfully engaging groups of stakeholders.
  • Able to demonstrate good management skills including project management, financial management, change management and facilitation.
  • Proficient in the use of estimating scheduling, programming and risk tools.
  • Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors in Process based projects
  • Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Degree and chartered status in an engineering, construction or other related field. (Relevant equivalent experience and training will be considered)
  • Good knowledge of CDM Regulations.
  • Can demonstrate experience of managing project through the project lifecycle from concept to handover
  • Microsoft office conversant
