We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas. We are seeking a Product Designer / Product Design Engineer to join a renowned outdoor and marine equipment manufacturer near Exeter.The ideal candidate will have a degree in Product Design and some industry experience, either in a product design role or with a design consultancy. Duties and responsibilities of the Product Design Engineer:

  • Conduct research, design, prototyping, and testing of product ideas
  • Create product designs using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks)
  • Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and estimate tooling costs
  • Produce renders and animations for the marketing team
  • Develop sketches, detailed development work, and design documentation
Qualifications and requirement for the Product Design Engineer:
  • Degree in Product Design or Computer-Aided Design
  • Background as a Product Designer, Product Design Engineer, or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD, ideally SolidWorks
  • Ability to commute to or relocate to Exeter
