Senior Estimator - Nottingham

Approach Personnel are currently recruiting for a Senior Estimator, as a Senior Estimator you will deliver projects in the Fit Out sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately estimate costs for materials, equipment, utilities, and labour.
  • Analyse specifications and research construction documents.
  • Prepare estimates for project planning, organisation, and scheduling.
  • Set work hours, sequence tasks, and obtain materials.
  • Submit relevant documents and budgets before bid deadlines.
  • Stay updated on the latest estimating technology and industry techniques.
  • Formulate contingency plans and manage risks impacting cost and time estimates.
  • Collaborate with other teams, conduct site visits, and provide additional services as needed.
  • Regularly report to management and keep clients informed of project status.

Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of surveying, estimating and contract conditions, regulations, program and risk management, and cost control
  • Previous experience in surveying and estimating
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills
  • IT skills
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications:

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS CARD
  • First Aid at Work
