Who’s the business

Zanda is partnering with a rapidly growing Series A, CleanTech energy business based in London. Embarking on a period of significant growth and investment from Top Tier VCs, the CEO is looking to hire an interim CFO to support.

As the interim CFO for 6 months, you will be reporting to the CEO and play a critical role in closing out an important debt raise and overhauling the commercial and strategic elements of the finance function. You will leave behind a legacy of a best in class insightful and scalable finance function. This role also has the opportunity to turn into a permanent position for the right candidate.

What experiences you will gain

  • Reporting to the CEO and partnering with the C-suite leaders
  • Managing the board reporting and Investor relations
  • Introducing accurate and controlled processes, focusing on scalability and efficiency
  • Implementing and leading projects across the business which have been identified by the Founder
  • Identifying and analysing market opportunities for business growth
  • Providing financial leadership across the business, presenting, and communicating critical financial matters when required
  • Providing a sounding board and strategic partner to the business as it looks to make key capital allocation decisions on the relevant growth levels
  • Supporting the CEO with finalising their debt raise and future fundraising rounds, including the model and data rooms
  • Managing the relationship with the VC Investors
  • Managing and building a high performing finance team that will support the company as it grows

What background should you have before you press apply

  • Experienced CFO within VC or PE backed scale ups
  • Experience within a high growth scale up within Hardware or Manufacturing sectors
  • Knowledge of B2B SaaS metrics
  • Successful track record operating, partnering with and influencing board level stakeholders
  • Highly analytical, strategic and a great communicator
  • Previously led a business from Xero to Sage X3
