Construction Manager (Specializing in Architectural and Structural Steel)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Manager with expertise in architectural and structural steel to oversee and manage construction projects within our organization. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring project success by coordinating and supervising all phases of construction, particularly in relation to architectural and structural steel elements.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Take full responsibility for the successful completion of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Architectural and Structural Steel Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of architectural and structural steel aspects of construction, including planning, fabrication, installation, and quality control.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate project teams, including subcontractors, ensuring productive collaboration and adherence to safety protocols.. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards, especially those related to architectural and structural steel.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure architectural and structural steel elements meet design specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of architectural and structural steel elements into overall project design.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and safety hazards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project records, prepare progress reports, and communicate project updates to key stakeholders.
  • Health and Safety: Promote and enforce adherence to health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all construction personnel.

Requirements

  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in construction project management, with a focus on architectural and structural steel.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of architectural and structural steel construction processes, including fabrication techniques, welding, and installation methodologies.. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • . Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
  • Problem Solving: Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve construction-related challenges effectively.
  • Project Management: Sound understanding of project management methodologies and tools, with experience managing projects from initiation to completion.
  • . Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Health and Safety: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices within the construction industry, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in construction project management software and industry-standard tools is an advantage.
