Credit and Collections Analyst

Our Client, a leading Bank based in the City are looking for a Credit Analyst to join their mortgages, CRE and BTL lending team on a permanent basis.
Review credit applications for buy-to-let and commercial real estate loans, with additional experience in residential properties being a plus.
Conduct objective assessments in accordance with the bank’s policies and mandates.
Meet KPIs related to the review of credit requests, reporting, and other performance standards.
Address queries on credit applications within specified turnaround times.
Resolve major queries before submission to the Head of Credit Approval.
Prepare reports for sanctioning committees and annual reviews.
Monitor and review the performance of the existing portfolio.
Maintain electronic filing of all credit requests and diarise for information receipt from branches.
Stay updated on changes in the bank's business profile, internal systems, processes, and regulatory requirements.
Undertake projects and assignments directed by the Head of Credit Approval.
Liaise with Credit Administration, ACPM, Finance, Compliance & Audit for processes relating to the Credit Approval function.
Knowledge of the UK economy, BTL, and commercial real estate market, related regulatory and legal environment.
Sound understanding of SME lending & Trade Finance within the UK context.
Ability to conduct financial analysis and understand risks and mitigants.
Understanding of BASEL and PRA & FCA Risk Guidelines, Calculations, and Policy Adherence.
Proficiency in Excel, spreadsheets, and database tools.
Workout knowledge for problematic corporate accounts is desirable.
