With a mix of being home-based 1 day per week and the rest working in their modern offices, which are easily commutable from Staffordshire, the West Midlands and Shropshire, they are a truly forward thinking and award-winning company with a genuine entrepreneurial spirit.
The Senior Buyer will be required to develop expertise in their designated category. You will put the customer journey at the forefront of every decision you make using analysis and insight to bring to market a product range that will drive sales and optimise profits. To be considered for this position, you need to have experience in a Buying, Product or Category Management role, preferably in a consumer facing business where you will have a proven track record of spotting trends and getting products market in an efficient manner. With experience of dealing with suppliers in the far east and the EU, you will also be highly commercial, with outstanding negotiation skills and a good understanding on financial levers including pricing, margin and profit. For the successful applicant, you will be given the opportunity to earn a competitive basic salary of £45-55,000 (depending on experience) in an environment where you will play a lead role in the continued growth of the business. The company also offer a generous holiday allowance, contributory pension and other great benefits in a business where you can make a genuine difference.
