Location:Liverpool

Hours: 37.5hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired,just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsiblefor?

As a Senior Drainage Engineer,you'll be working within the Civil and Structural Engineeringteam, supporting them indesigning sustainable urban drainagesystems.

Your day today will include:

  • Producing and checking drainage designcalculations, flood risk assessment reports, drawings, designmodels, design strategy reports andspecifications
  • Coordinating drainage and civilengineering design information within the civil and structuralengineering team and with other technical design disciplines suchas architecture, landscape architecture and building servicesengineering
  • Setting appropriate sustainabledrainage strategies for projects and obtaining appropriate consentsfor drainage proposals via the local authority planning approvalprocess, including making pre-development enquiries andconsultations with statutory authorities and lead local floodauthorities
  • Occasionally visiting sites, toconduct surveys and inspections and visiting other designers' andclients' offices and to represent the civil engineering team atproject meetings

  • You hold professional qualifications such asBSc, MSc, BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or EnvironmentalSciences and CEng, Member or Associate Member of Institution ofCivil Engineers or Chartered Institution of Water and EnvironmentalManagement or similar Demonstraterelevant knowledge of underground drainage design to currentEuropean Standards a long with experience of designingdrainage and SUDS systems to CIRIA C753 SuDS Manual guidance, withpractical use of Innovyze InfoDrainage design software orMicroDrainage, it is imperative to have direct experience inconsulting with local sewer operators, Lead Local FloodAuthorities, the Environment Agency (EA) or National ResourcesWales (NRW) or Scottish Environment Protection Agency(SEPA)
  • A full driving licence in order to visitother sites / offices
