Role Purpose

Our prestigious global client has a requirement for an experienced electrical engineer to work shifts on site at their manufacturing facility in Glasgow. The chosen candidates will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective maintenance, repair, problem solving and improvement of assets and their availability across the site.

Role Responsibilities

• This role will allow you to work closely with site personnel to ensure all maintenance is effectively developed and delivered and to provide feedback on relative improvements across the site.
• You’ll implement & develop maintenance programmes that support and improve asset performance and utilisation.
• You'll be responsible for promptly and appropriately responding to plant breakdowns and to secure & repair the root cause to minimise downtime.
• You'll accurately and timely record & report any outcome of plant maintenance issues via SAP to ensure best practise has been shared.
• Health & safety compliance and high-quality standards are key for thisroleand you’ll be expected to adhere to statutory and company requirements.

Skills/Qualifications/Experience

• We are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal skills, can communicate to all levels, develop keyrelationshipsand have the ability to make effective decisions and drive improvements using specialist knowledge.
• We’re looking for someone whohas the ability touse initiative and push forward their own ideas whilst offering guidance and support for our current approaches.
• You’ll have the drive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and use your excellent analytical skills to solve problems.
• You'll be a time served Electrical Engineer with the relevant qualifications and have demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles.
