Contract Type: Temp – Term time 3 days a week hybrid working
We are looking for an enthusiastic Children’s Occupational Therapist to join the team. The ideal candidate will strive to continually improve their clinical skills, enjoy working in a team environment and have experience working with children who have sensory difficulties and a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders.
The post holder will hold a caseload working across the different environments such as home, school and clinics.
The Occupational Health children’s team encompasses both physiotherapy and speech and language therapy enabling strong opportunities for close joint working. Relationships also extend to other pathways, such as Neurodiversity and Learning Disability, placing the child at the heart of the teams practice.
Screen and triage referrals and ensure a strengths-based approach to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions to support the complex packages of care for children with additional needs in the community.
Contribute to risk assessment and care planning in collaboration with children, young people and their carers.
Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment, advice and interventions to children, young people and their families and to hold a caseload of children with complex needs.
Provide case management of an identified caseload of children and young people with highly complex long-term conditions and complex needs by utilising and promoting evidence-based care
