Gas Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Gas Engineer to join our Responsive Repairs team.

In a wide range of occupied and empty properties, including communal spaces and commercial premises, you will carry out landlord gas safety checks, complete repairs, and installation work on hot and cold water as well as central heating systems along with general plumbing work. The engineer will handle all system servicing and general maintenance tasks, as well as a variety of auxiliary tasks related to the trade activity.

This is an important customer facing role, working with customers to ensure their homes are maintained in a timely way, keeping them informed and completing repairs right first time to help reduce costs and meet our service first principles.

As part of your role, you will ensure that all gas works are completed in adherence with current gas regulations, manufactures instructions and Bron Afon policies and procedures.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that all works are undertaken in a considerate manner and to a satisfactory standard in terms of performance and quality. These include but are not limited to:

• Installation - all aspects of install work from small pipe works repairs to installation of new boilers and heating systems.
• Completing Annual Landlords Gas Safety Checks
• Fault finding and other associated boiler repairs.
• Plumbing works including installation, investigation, problem solving and fault finding.
• Identifying, measuring, specifying, and ordering materials required to complete the work.
• Identifying the best course of action when a repair cannot be completed and making decisions for next steps.
