What will you be responsible for?

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within our Environment Agency Collaborative delivery framework and Bridgwater Tidal Barrier projects, supporting the commercial team and wider project in managing the costs and contractual arrangement for Kier.

Your day to day will include:

  • Preparing project budgets, developing cost plans and estimating the quantities and costs of materials, time and labour required for the projects. 
  • Understanding and implementing the contractual obligations, deliverables and KPI requirements
  • Working on the procurement process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and helping select contractors and subcontractors
  • Assessing project plans and scope to ensure cost efficiency and value for money.
  • Meeting reporting deadlines and assisting with the production of the applications for payment, CVR and forecasting.

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

  • You have an understanding of NEC4 form of contract, Options A, C and E
  • You have experience in standard forms of contracts and cost control processes
  • You are proficient in standard office applications, particularly MS Excel.
  • You have experience in large civil engineering projects
