Due to continued success and future business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Coordinator to join our team on a 6-month fixed term basis, to be based at our Group head office in Barlborough, Chesterfield.

The Role

Do you have experience of end-to-end payroll processing?

Have you worked within a busy payroll department and have experience of using the iTrent payroll system?

Joining our team as Payroll Coordinator, you will be working alongside the Group payroll team supporting with day-to-day payroll processing on both our monthly and weekly payrolls for approximately 600 employees. The role will also include supporting the implementation of our new payroll system iTrent.

Previous payroll experience is essential, along with the ability to analyse various data formats.

Please note - this is a 6-month fixed term contact opportunity*

Key duties and requirements

You will also be responsible for but not limited to;

  • Processing the end-to-end payroll on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Performing payroll calculations.
  • Assisting in the collation and processing of P11D data.
  • Managing salary sacrifice schemes and third-party deductions.
  • Assisting with internal and external queries.
  • Collaborating with the Group Finance team to reconcile payroll data.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and pension regulations.
  • Supporting the wider payroll team with the implementation of the new iTrent payroll system.
  • Analysing data from the payroll system to deal with any variances/discrepancies.
  • Carrying out any other additional duties that may arise within the payroll department as requested.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful as our Payroll Coordinator, you will hold previous experience of working within a similar role. Previous experience of working with the iTrent payroll system is highly desirable.

Our ideal candidate will be a self-sufficient individual, able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, along with the ability to work to strict deadlines.

To be considered for this role you must also possess;

  • Experience of end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Extensive knowledge and application of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • The ability to work under your own initiative and manage time effectively.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to changing requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to identify and problem solve in a speedy and effective manner.
  • A flexible attitude in relation to business needs.
