An exciting opportunity has arisen at Abbey Mead Primary for two enthusiastic and committed KS2 Class Teachers to join our team and contribute positively to our wider school environment by taking a key role in delivering high quality lessons for our pupils.
Abbey Mead Primary is a large primary school in the heart of Leicester City, serving a culturally rich and diverse community. We are an Outstanding Provider (Ofsted March 2024) with an excellent curriculum, supported by a committed team of expert teaching professionals. Abbey Mead is firmly committed to ensuring that all children have a well-rounded Primary education that promotes both academic and a social education to prepare pupils for their future in modern day Britain. You’ll provide a supportive and welcoming learning environment in the classroom, play a significant part in the ongoing development of all areas of the children’s education, and put assessment techniques into practice in line with the school’s ethos and principles. In order to deliver teaching and learning at a consistently high level, you’ll help with lesson planning that achieves the needs of all students.
Qualified Teacher Status
Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development
Effective use of differentiation strategies to meet all pupil’s needs
Ability to use data and assessments to note areas for improvement and sustaining positive educational outcomes
At Abbey Mead Primary Academy, you’ll play a rewarding part in the early educational development of our young pupils, supported by our wider staff team with opportunities for professional development and guidance in your Primary teaching career.
This post will involve contact with vulnerable groups (children, young people and/or adults) and is therefore, exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Disclosure check.
