Accounts Receivable AssistantLocation: TeynhamJob Type: Full-timeWe are currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for raising invoices and maintaining accurate records using the ERP system, Prophet, to support the accounts receivable function.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Generate and issue invoices accurately and in a timely manner using the ERP system, Prophet.
  • Ensure accurate and diligent pricing of packing jobs in the Prophet system to ensure all rates are brought through and revenue is charged correctly.
  • Process invoices efficiently and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain organised records of invoicing activity, payments, and customer information.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to resolve invoicing discrepancies and address customer inquiries.
  • Assist with reconciling accounts receivable transactions and preparing reports as needed.
  • Utilise the ERP system, Prophet, to update customer accounts and track payment statuses.
  • Support month-end and year-end accounting processes related to accounts receivable.
  • Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations related to invoicing and accounts receivable.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in an accounts receivable or finance-related role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems, specifically Prophet, is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices.
