Company Profile:

In the UK, over 200 million tonnes of waste are sent to our landfills and incinerators each year. This business is playing a vital role in changing that. They are a key player in the Waste to Energy industry, diverting over 1 million tonnes of waste from landfills annually to generate energy. With significant growth in recent years, they are now looking for an EC&I Technician at their Boston plant.

You will be responsible for carrying out corrective and preventive work on electrical equipment and instrumentation systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an EC&I Technician to work for a company dedicated to converting waste into usable energy and reducing toxic landfill usage.

Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the maintenance, fault finding, and calibration of instrumentation and control equipment.
  2. Work within the CMMS to ensure maintenance records are accurate and up-to-date.
  3. Be involved in project support and lead commissioning activities as required.
  4. Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
  5. Report equipment defects and suggest remediation options.

Necessary Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical control and instrumentation systems.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Experience with permit-to-work systems.
