We are looking for a motivated individual to fill anAnimal Care Technicianrole at our Sioux Center, Iowa facility.

The Animal Care Technician adds value through the following responsibilities:

Set up rooms as per protocol design, and ensure rooms are properly staged and maintained during all phases of the study.
Collect research data and samples in accordance with study protocols and Good Documentation Practices.
Assist veterinarians in observations and procedures and inform veterinarians if abnormalities are observed
Promote and maintain the well-being of animals including feeding and basic care
Repair, maintain and operate equipment/machinery
Perform administrative duties that support the care of animals and site functions
Responsible for recording information both timely and accurately
Build relationships with key individuals and contributors in the organization and beyond

Animal Care Technician requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
Experience working with animals; large and small
Ability to work well with others and maintain composure
Ability to work collaboratively as well as communicate effectively both written and orally
Attention to detail and analytically driven
Dependability, flexibility and ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Willingness to be on call and in on-call rotation, including weekends
Live within a satisfactory distance to assist in on call purposes and procedures
Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly
