Part-Time 1:1 Tutor, Cambridgeshire
About the Part-Time 1:1 Tutor position:
Prospero Teaching are looking for Tutors to work 1:1 with students away from a school environment. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to a student's life, gain great job satisfaction and teach without the paperwork involved with a class of 30 children.
The majority of these students are disengaged in education and will be out of school, with many of them not on a school roll.
Sessions will take place either at the student's home or the local library.
Students are likely to have difficulty responding to conventional teaching and may have behaviour and/or SEN difficulties. The majority of cases are for either 3 hours per day, 5 days per week but this can be flexible depending on the student in question. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver sessions with a focus on English and Maths.
Contract Details for Part-Time 1:1 Teacher position:
Position - Part Time 1:1 Teacher
Type of work - Teaching an excluded student in their own home.
Start date - ASAP
Contract type - Temporary - likely to be long term
Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing until the student can return to school.
Full time/part-time - Part-time Monday to Friday - 3 hours per day
Minimum rate of pay - £25 per hour
Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the Part-Time 1:1 teacher position:
You MUST have relevant tutoring experience and be able to provide your own lesson plans
A positive attitude and desire towards working with SEN students.
To be eligible for the Part-Time 1:1 Teacher position through Prospero Teaching you must:
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
