Exciting opportunity for cover teachers to work within a classroom environment. The role will be ad-hoc and could work round family or other work commitments. This role will be paid between £120-150 a day if you are an unqualified teacher or £130-£200 for QTS teachers.


The Cover Teacher will be responsible for covering for absent teachers and delivering pre-planned work. There is no requirement to be subject specialists although the ability to lead and manage a classroom is essential. If you are a subject specialist you could cover your own subject or cover another subject based on the needs of the school that day or week. The role could also have form tutor responsibilities including registering pupils for the school day. You will be required to have a commitment to sustaining the highest possible standards of behaviour in line with the trusts policies and processes. As part of the wider school community there is excellent support in place with a very friendly staff teams that will promote a culture of belonging so you won't feel like a cover teacher. You will also be given full creative independence to plan and deliver teaching and learning in an innovative way if you are a qualified teacher within the given subject.


This role is also suitable for natural leaders or managers. If you are confident and assertive you will do well in a role of this nature and it could lead onto other Education based opportunities.



Qualifications and experience:

  • Aspiring teachers and natural leadership experience ideal
  • A passion for Education and working with young people
  • Experience in a classroom would be advantageous but not essential (Castle Education can offer training to support a transition to this role)
