Drone Operator

Description
Northpoint Roofing Systems, a renowned roofing company known for its commitment to excellence, customer satisfaction and ranked 653 on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list along with a 26th position in the competitive construction sector, is looking for a FAA licensed (Part 107) drone pilot to work out of our Birmingham office, Cardinal Roofing.
The ideal candidate is tech savvy and has experience operating a drone while capturing images as directed for detecting roof damage and measurements.
Responsibilities
Travel to residential and commercial properties to conduct roof inspections using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs/Drone)
Meet and maintain the FAA qualification requirements
Work closely with sales team to plan and optimize travel routes ahead of time
Capture aerial footage and images and upload data to database
Document all activity in database with a high degree of accuracy and correctness
Develop rapport and build relationships with potential customers
Monitor weather conditions and airspace restrictions to ensure safe operations
Attend department meetings, keep current on sales information, products and industry trends
Source new sales opportunities
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Current FAA pilot certificate
At least 4+ years experience as a drone pilot
Photography skills is a plus
Understanding of technical terms commonly used in the roofing is a plus
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to walk long distances, climb stairs, stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs. or greater
Good communication skills
Customer service oriented
Team player (member of a sales crew)
Familiarity with tablets, Apple iPads (iPadOS)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
