We are recruiting for a Highly Specialised Physiologist - CRM who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.


An exciting opportunity for an accredited devices physiologist to join a small and dynamic CRM team at the Lister hospital. We provide support across the trust and into the community. We support a busy complex and brady service with an established face to face pacing clinic and remote follow up. The introduction of conduction pacing and a community ICD deactivation service in the last 6mths. We have an established apprenticeship and equivalence program which the successful candidate would be expected to support as the team would support you in fulfilling your full potential.


We would consider the right band 6 applicant to support through their accreditation process.


As a highly specialised Cardiac Physiologist you will be required to work as an highly specialist practitioner within the Cardiology Department, with a specialisation in device management. The successful candidate will work closely with the Lead Cardiac Physiologist


All band 7 staff are expected to assist in the management of the Cardiac Physiology Service across trust sites, and to demonstrate a high level of competency in all sections of the Technical Cardiology Department.


The role is vital in the provision of training, continuing professional development and overall performance of all staff in the Pacing/ICD section of the Cardiology Department. You will be expected to play a major role in the continuing professional development and overall performance of all staff in the technical cardiology service.

Qualifications / Training
BSc Clinical Physiology or Health Professions Council registration or recognised precursor
Postgraduate profession related qualification, eg. Accredited Member of the Society of Cardiological Science and Technology or equivalent
Proactive approach to quality control and making improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of service

Strong leadership and team building skills
Ability to overcome language barriers
Extensive post graduate experience in technical cardiology
Experience and competence maintained in all routine noninvasive procedures e.g. exercise tolerance testing,and ECG rhythm analysis.
Advanced computer skills
Flexible in working practice
Wide knowledge of appropriate general cardiac conditions and their management

Experience of cardiology patient databases,Lorenzo, CRIS PACS.
Previously involved in delivering formal training
