Corporate Audit Associate Location: Manchester Employment Type: Full-time Experience Level: Newly qualified or qualified senior The Opportunity A growing professional services firm is seeking a qualified Audit Associate to join its expanding Audit and Assurance team based in Manchester. You'll work with a diverse range of clients including corporate and owner-managed businesses, charities, and other not-for-profit organisations, from start-ups to well-established and listed entities. This role offers the chance to work closely with experienced partners and managers in a supportive and dynamic environment. You will take on significant responsibility, gain exposure to complex assignments, and be encouraged to develop your skills and progress your career quickly within the firm. Key Responsibilities Delivering high-quality client assignments and audit work. Leading, coaching, and supporting team members. Managing relationships with a diverse client portfolio. Supporting business and people development within the audit practice. Contributing to advisory and non-audit client engagements. Role Requirements ACA / ACCA / CA qualification (essential). Significant auditing and accounting experience (ideally UK GAAP). Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Excellent communication and client service skills. Enthusiastic, proactive, and focused on delivering results. Commitment to personal development and progression. People Responsibilities Demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm, and initiative in your work. Treat colleagues fairly and with respect, fostering inclusion and collaboration. Provide and receive constructive feedback for continuous improvement. Mentor and train junior staff, helping develop their technical and professional skills. Participate in wider firm activities and contribute to a positive team culture. Client Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for clients. Plan, execute, and finalise audit assignments for manager or partner review. Communicate effectively with clients, anticipating needs and delivering solutions. Manage and mitigate risk in all client interactions. Prepare and present Audit Findings Reports and recommendations. Monitor progress against budgets and address variances. Identify opportunities for business development and additional client support. Desired Qualities Ability to deliver high-quality work efficiently and accurately. Strong understanding of UK GAAP and audit fundamentals. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage audit fieldwork and liaise with other departments.
