The Role

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, our Supply Chain Manager will oversee and lead key activities around planning and expediting of our raw materials and packaging.

You will play a key role in defining and shaping our business processes to ensure a solid end to end supply chain is in place working with internal and external teams such as suppliers, 3PLs and intercompany.

This role sits on our management team, will have 4 direct reports in materials and stock and will work collaboratively with our Planning Manager and Warehouse Manager as well as closely with the rest of the site management team including procurement, operations and technical.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for continuously developing an effective Supply Chain team – (MRP, Stock Controllers).
  • Ensure team targets and objectives are collaboratively agreed and appraised through 1-1’s and PDR’s
  • Facilitate a culture which is aligned to the company's vision and values of manufacturing excellence delivered through Brilliant People, Innovative Products and Continuous Improvement - all delivered through our 4 key values Be Accountable, Be a Team, Be Open, Be Creative.
  • Support the Head of Supply Chain with activities which support our business growth.
  • Working in conjunction with both NPD/Procurement to ensure an aligned end to end Material and Packaging Supply Chain plan is maintained.
  • Key contact for Storage sites, 3PLs and Suppliers.
  • Working with Supplier/s to produce accurate end to end Supply Chain flow into site, maintaining flow of Inventory to meet Production plans.
  • Controlling stock levels to the agreed budgets, delivering availability of Raw Materials and Packaging whilst minimising Waste and risks of any Stock outs.
  • Co-ordinate and ensure good information flow between Logistics, Technical and Production to ensure stock ownership is managed and delivered effectively through Systems/Process.
  • Working with NPD in new product development to ensure New Ingredient/Packaging Supplier lead times are aligned with any agreed Launch dates for any new Business – Responsible for healthy Challenge towards this to drive clear and concise Supplier insights which affect supply/Costs to site – Eg lead times, MOQs, risks & Ops.
  • Lead and drive team as Key owners of stock through the end to end process – Maintaining Live, None Live inventories – Working in conjunction with Planning, NPD, Finance and 3PLS to reflect accuracy and ownership.
  • Actively engage with Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the business to identify and deliver process and cost savings.
  • Supply Chain systems Super User.
  • Working with Planning Manager to deliver realistic and achievable plans sharing forecasts with Supply base to ensure availability and contract volume alignment.
  • Support Warehouse manager with audits and stock management activities ensuring stock is accurately aligned throughout systems, reconciled week to week leading corrective actions throughout teams.
