Early Years Practitioner/ Pre-school Practitioner

Contribute to Children's Centre core offer by achieving Development Matters outcomes and objectives aligned with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework, and Redbridge Council's strategies and action plans relevant to Early Years. Work collaboratively with the Children's Centres and Early Years Play and Development (EYPaD) Centre Teams to deliver high-quality services and improve outcomes for children and families. Facilitate groups for families with children under 5 years based on Development Matters and EYFS framework. Identify families who may require additional support, provide information about local services and / or sign-post or refer to Childrens Centres. Offer parents advice and guidance to optimise their visit and promote home learning in line with Children's Centres core offer.
Prioritise the well-being and safety of all individuals within the centre, including children, adults, colleagues, and other users.
Offer services that are culturally sensitive and adaptable to families, promoting acceptance, respect, and the avoidance of discrimination.
Abide by the Council's policies on equal opportunities and cultural diversity.
Provide exceptional customer service, taking into account the unique requirements of children and families.
Safeguard the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
Keep the equipment clean, secure, and well-maintained, promptly reporting any damages to the local manager or supervisor.
Engage in induction and continuous training to gain a comprehensive understanding of Children's Centres, Early Years, and associated services, and their potential benefits for children and families.
Foster partnerships with children and parents/carers.
Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and quality assurance initiatives. Take part in supervision and Performance Management to improve skills, knowledge, and service efficiency.
Experience working with children as early years practitioner, ideally 1-2 years
