If based in London you will be required to travel to Swindon, Nationwide House for meetings from time to time and vice versa, if based in Swindon or there will be a requirement to travel to London, Threadneedle Street. We need our Procurement Managers to deliver “joined up” Procurement strategies and solutions. This means incorporating the full Procurement lifecycle (category planning, sourcing, contract and supplier relationship management) across specific categories and business areas across Nationwide.
Delivering robust commercial deals for Nationwide, that meet the risk appetite and ensure we spend our customer’s money wisely.
As this role is category specific, we are looking for individuals with procurement and category experience in Marketing and Communications.
Demonstratable experience in Procurement and supply chain management (category management, contract negotiation and management, supplier selection and management).
Experience using procure to pay systems.
Excellent interpersonal skills including effective communications, relationship building and stakeholder management.
Possess the ability to analyse data and complex inputs to support sound business decisions.
Have a good knowledge of contract law and managing risk and be able to demonstrate your ability to negotiate contracts both from a commercial and legal perspective.
Experience within a Financial Services and/or regulated organisation.
It’s also about being clear, precise, and using language that we and, importantly, our customers and members can understand.
