The company is headquartered in the Chiltern town of Wendover, just 50 minutes from Central London by train. MetDesk’s modern and vibrant offices are home to its dedicated energy forecast centre, utilising the very latest innovations in forecasting, teleconnection and monitoring technology. Due to ongoing expansion, we are seeking an energy meteorologist to join our expert, dynamic forecast team. Remote working is an option. This is an exciting opportunity to become an important part of the fastest growing commercial and energy weather forecasting company in Europe.
Energy Meteorologist
The successful candidate will work within our weekday-based team of energy meteorologists, analysing and interpreting observational, teleconnection and forecast model data to ensure our energy customers are always in receipt of the most accurate and up-to-date information available. Forecasting is on a global scale and ranges from intra-day to seasonal in scope. Alongside regular verbal briefings with energy customers, comprehensive written briefings are required. A degree in meteorology or associated science.
· Experience as an operational energy forecaster for European or worldwide markets.
· UK resident or valid UK work permit
