First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer to join an established and growing company in the Edinburgh region. Our client is an international manufacturer, dedicated to defence industries world-wide.

This role will work closely with the Design Manager, and you will be expected to work with minimal supervision. Effectively managing risk and engineering change throughout the design process. Permanent Position from Day one.
Leading Training & Development Programs, with a dedicated team to this effect.

Take responsibility for the engineering content of a variety of marine based project
Identify threats and risks to the project schedule deliveryEssential skills, experience and knowledge requirements:

A minimum 4 years of design experience in industrial, marine or subsea applications for a degree holder, or if unqualified, 10 years of relevant experience.
A degree, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification within mechanical engineering.
Experience with solid modelling design tools including structural analysis using finite element modelling.
A flair for problem solving and innovation, and a flexible approach to work activities.
A background in defence or subsea engineering.
A track record of creating and checking high quality production drawings.
