An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced psychologist or psychological therapist with expertise in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). You will lead a DBT team, as well as holding a more varied therapy caseload which will help you consolidate and develop your wider clinical skills. You will be based with one of the three Community Mental Health Teams in Southampton, and will provide supervision, consultation, and training to staff across the teams.
You will have the opportunity to supervise DBT trainees, as well as managing three DBT therapists.
Applicants should have significant experience of delivering DBT and ideally other therapies for people with complex emotional needs. We have good supervision structures and an excellent track record of CPD, as well as strong academic links.
You will receive professional leadership and line management from a Principal Clinical Psychologist. The advertised role does satisfy the sponsorship requirements for overseas candidates.

Doctoral level training in applied psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996), including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS
Relevant professional qualification in mental health
Specialist psychological therapy training and accreditation with relevant psychological therapy professional body (SFDBT, BABCP)
