Job Description

Purpose:

  • To be the Technical Architect for products developed by R&D Hardware Department.
  • To ensure that the products meet the needs and expectations of the customers, and stakeholders.
  • To advise and support the Business on Technical Developments.
  • To ensure the development of the products conforms to our ISO9001 process procedures and meets the necessary industry standards.
  • To be responsible for the deliverables produced within the work packages assigned.
  • Ensures that the products requirements are successfully captured, decomposed for Hardware development, and can be successfully validated and verify.
  • Ensures the Designs performance meeting the product requirements, that compliance status is identified reported and addressed.
  • To lead the Product change management activities, and Production data release.
  • Reviews Product and Project estimates, plans and Schedules.
  • To lead problem solving activities, identification of technical Risk & issues, their management, and resolution.

Responsible for:

  • Leading the electronic realisation of the products through the creation of Design Documentation, Schematics and PCB designs, and product BOMS.
  • Ensuring that the product requirements are captured, decomposed for Hardware development.
  • Ensuring that the product design meets the requirements, is validated, and verified successfully.
  • The products compliance status is identified, reported, and issues addressed to met the customers and stakeholders’ expectations.
  • Leading the maintenance of existing designs in-line with production and certification requirements.
  • Liaising with the other disciplines in the company to ensure collaboration / effective communication is maintained, communicating the status of their work.
  • Undertake and complete the work packages assigned within the agreed timescales
  • Managing and organise work to achieve this. Leading and supporting team members to complete their work.
  • Leading the work required to ensure that our design process and procedure are correct, updated and follow the NPI process, as required by ISO9001.
  • Leading peer reviews to ensure consistent levels of quality processes are followed.
  • Leading the activities for design changes to our NPI department and factories.
  • The creation of Schematics, PCB designs, drawings, and Product BoMs in-line with the processes.
  • Leading the activities to release Product Manufacturing Data within the Company PLM.
