We’re working with a fast-moving data intelligence business building a next-gen commercial property platform — and they need a Senior Python Engineer to join immediately and help hit a hard launch deadline of December 6th .

The Role
You’ll take ownership of backend API development, replacing mock endpoints with real, production-grade services powering the app’s front end. Expect to work hands-on in a tight-knit team alongside an exceptional technical lead.

You will be doing?
Build and optimise APIs in Python/FastAPI
Integrate with databases and OpenSearch for data aggregation
Deliver reliable, performant endpoints in a microservices environment (~100 services)
Collaborate closely on design and trade-offs to meet delivery goals

Tech Environment
Python (FastAPI) | Kafka (nice-to-have) | GitHub CI/CD | OpenSearch | Microservices

Start: Next week
Contract: ~6–7 weeks (through Christmas), possible extension
IR35: Outside (small-company exemption)
Hybrid: London — Tuesday in-office required , likely one more day TBC

Day Rate
£500–£600/day (target). Quick, one-hour GitHub task followed by same-day feedback.
