You will:

  • Create, improve and develop complex hybrid systems.
  • Be project focussed, liaise with mechanical and control system engineers to deliver technically advanced solutions.
  • Work with the rest of the engineering department to ensure companywide efficiencies through improvements in processes, material selection and technology.
  • Understand and work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires anin-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Frequently advise others on complex matters, often acting as a mentor for less experienced members of the team

Duties and Responsibilities

  • As an experienced electrical design engineer, you will have direct technical responsibility for our larger hybrid projects – both land and marine based systems, typically focussed around Danfoss drive technology.
  • You will also be called on for your input, knowledge, and experience on other projects within the business.
  • The job will be office based but there will be a need to travel (infrequently) to customers based in the UK and abroad (mainly in Europe) to troubleshoot existing, and commission new systems.

Qualifications and experience

● A degree in electrical engineering (and significant relatable

experience), a relevant master’s degree or PhD would be an

advantage.

● Demonstrable advanced wide-ranging experience, using in-depth

professional knowledge, acumen, concepts and company objectives to

develop, resolve complex models and procedures.

● Marine/yachting experience would be beneficial

● Ideally, working experience with drive technology

● Ideally, working experience with battery systems, typically in the 300 –

700V range

Knowledge and

technical skills

● Display an extensive working knowledge of E-Plan (AutoCAD for

legacy projects)

● Evidence of designing electrical control panels and switchgear

● Working knowledge of setup and commissioning complex systems,

working alongside control engineers and others.
