Junior Mechanical Design Engineer Orion are currently representing a dynamic and rapidly growing manufacturing firm, poised for substantial expansion in the coming months. With an ambitious vision and a commitment to innovation, they are set to triple in size within the next 12-18 months. As the business embarks on this exciting journey, we are seeking a talented and ambitious Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team. As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer you will play a pivotal role in the company’s growth trajectory. You will work closely with their experienced engineering team to design and develop cutting-edge mechanical components and systems for their diverse range of products. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual to make a significant impact and grow their career in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. With all manufacturing conducted in-house this role allows Engineers to truly be involved in the full product life-cycle from concept through to manufacture. Responsibilities: Collaborate with senior engineers to design and develop mechanical components and systems that meet project requirements and specifications. Utilise CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor AutoCAD) to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings. Conduct Engineering Calculations, Simulations and Analysis Assist in prototype fabrication, testing, and validation activities. Participate in design reviews, technical documentation, and report preparation. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation projects. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
