PowerPhotonic is a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision micro-optics for laser systems used in the high energy scientific, defence, materials processing, medical, and optical communications sectors.

The role is within the product development team, responsible for the design and development of innovative optomechanical assemblies. Initiate, manage and participate in internal and customer facing projects to develop new optomechanical products.
Participate in external funded projects to develop new optomechanical products.
Engage with customers and project partners to understand integration requirements.
Develop designs for optomechanical assemblies incorporating state-of-art freeform optical elements.
Provide technical support to production line for optical assemblies:
Identify new equipment and processes required to improve manufacturing and metrology capability for optical assemblies.
Provide technical support to the key quality assurance gates in product release process.
Work as a part of multidisciplinary team to execute product and technology roadmap, delivering project at various TR Levels.

Experience in full project lifecycle from concept - prototype - production.
~ Confident user of Autodesk Inventor CAD software.
