As a the Account Manager occupies a key role in supporting the overall business objective of generating profitable growth. The Account Manager must work within the Commercial team and provide help, support, and best practice sharing amongst other key tasks to their peers. You would also expected to work independently predominantly within a defined portfolio, generating profitable growth from developing and maintaining an existing portfolio of accounts.

To be suitable for this position you must be capable of working independently but also as a member of a team to provide input and support to peers, assisting with tasks such as tender compilation and delivery. As well as having previous experience working within fleet/lease/rental in an account/Business Development based role.

The AM’s primary activity is to generate profitable business from a range of accounts, based in the fleet/trade/leasing and rental sectors. As such, the individual is required to manage and monitor their own time and activity, reporting to the Senior Sales Manager as and when required.
As an AM you will manage and develop a portfolio of accounts in various sectors such as Leasing, Rental, Trade, and Fleet. This will include all the day-to-day running of these accounts.
The AM is an ambassador for our client and as such must represent the company in a professional and responsible manner at all times, promoting the company's values and brand.
The AM will provide multi-site coverage for national clients, providing a presence in the customer depots and a link between the local branch and customer depot.
Account planning and development play a key role with the individual expected to produce a plan and strategy on an annual basis, which develops the account, improves the relationship, and ensures the maximum benefit is gained from the partnership.
Development should include (but not exclusively) such areas as implementation of VRN, EDI, and Delegated Authority; ensure that the data provided is both relevant and meaningful and will usually be bespoke to the particular client.
Create a working relationship internally with the various departments involved in delivering our service to the client; these will include CEC, Operations, Customer Accounts, and Finance. It is key that the AM acts as a conduit for the uninterrupted supply of our service.
The AM will hold reviews with the clients to ensure that their needs are met and that the account is running correctly. Proven account management experience within the fleet/lease/rental sector is essential for this role.
The ability to work autonomously, drive performance, and build effective relationships cross-functionally.
Experience forward planning and building annual strategies in line with overall company objectives.
Have excellent stake holder management skills
Be able to deliver the best customer service possible for each and every client
