Job Description: National Accounts Manager

  • Package: negotiable base salary + performance bonus + car options + 25 days holiday + pension + health insurance
  • This a new role created in response to recent sales growth and continued ambition to win further market share.

The New National Accounts Manager Will Be Responsible For:

  • Developing and implementing plans that will achieve sales, margin and customer service standards across a small portfolio of grocery, convenience, discounter and High Street retail groups.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with national accounts, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Negotiating trading agreements with national accounts to maximise mutual value
  • Analyse market trends and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities
  • Monitor and report on sales performance providing regular updates to senior management.
  • This is a home-based, hybrid role with one day each week at head office.

Candidate Profile: National Accounts Manager

To maximise our success and customer service standards in this role we are looking for:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a National Accounts Manager selling to major retailers.
  • A proven track record of sales development and margin management within the grocery, DIY, High Street or Discounter retail groups.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate insights into actions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. High attention to detail.

Salary/Benefits Information:

  • As well as a basic salary that reflects the importance of the role, the job holder will enjoy a performance based bonus scheme, fully expensed company car or car allowance, 25 days holiday, pension and healthcare benefits and all support required to be home-based.
