Maintenance Electrician/Engineer Newport £40,259 + Days & Afternoons + Overtime + Training + Progression + Pension + Holiday + Benefits + Permanent role + Onsite Parking + Onsite Canteen + EAP Programme + Cycle to work scheme Are you a maintenance engineer or technician with an electrical bias or strong electrical skill set? Have you worked within a production/manufacturing background or similar? LINKS Recruitment Group present a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to work within a well-established company who are continuously growing due to company success. The role: You will be working within a team, carrying out PPM’s and maintenance on a range of production machinery.

  • Compliance with Company Environmental, Health and Safety procedures
  • Completion of Planned preventative maintenance tasks
  • Maintenance / repair of equipment in breakdown situations.
  • Safe isolation of equipment
  • Ensure highest levels of housekeeping and cleanliness whilst working
  • Liaise across all areas of the organization to achieve production priorities
  • Issuing of work permits for site contractors and ensuring contractors are operating in accordance with site rules
The Person:
  • Experience in a similar role/industrial experience in a busy manufacturing environment
  • Strong Electrical background
  • Experience in AC drives/inverters, DC drives/controllers electromechanical and optical sensors
  • Some Knowledge of PLC’s power electronics/ electronics and electrical installation
  • Knowledge and experience of Fanuc robots would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of the Permit to work systems
  • Experience of using computer based maintenance systems
Role: Permanent Salary: £40,259 Shifts: Days & Afterrnoons role - 6-2 & 2-10
