We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English to join our lovely secondary school located in the heart of Colchester . Our school takes pride in placing academic scholarship, reading, and writing at the centre of our curriculum, ensuring that our students leave with a reading age that matches their chronological age.
As a Teacher of English in our Colchester school, you will be joining a team that is passionate about continuous improvement and teaching excellence. Our innovative morning meeting programme, based on cognitive science, helps students develop their reading and writing skills in an engaging way. Teach English across KS3 and KS4 , delivering engaging and well-structured lessons
Contribute to the ongoing development of our academic programmes, with a particular focus on reading and writing
Participate in our innovative morning meeting programme, helping students develop cognitive and literacy skills
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning
Support students to achieve their best, helping to maintain our above-average GCSE results
Qualified Teacher of English , with experience teaching KS3 and KS4
A passion for reading, writing, and academic excellence
Commitment to evidence-informed teaching and continuous professional development
A desire to contribute to the school's wider ethos and goals
