About the Role

Head of Product

The clients mission over the following years is to leverage the acclaimed collection of innovative learning modules to develop a solution. This solution will be deeply integrated into curricula, catering to the needs of educators both locally and across North America.

Key Responsibilities

● Product Vision: Develop and refine the product strategy and vision together with senior management and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business goals. Lead market analysis to identify customer needs and emerging trends.

● Learning Design: Work closely with learning designers and technical teams to ensure our products are pedagogically sound and champion the learner throughout.

● Product Development Lifecycle: Maintaining an overview of existing and upcoming projects through all stages of development, from ideation, proposals, design and development. Reviewing projects throughout the different stages of the production cycle, providing feedback as required.

● Research and Innovation: Keeping abreast of new technologies and market changes. Propose and design new features and capabilities of our learning pedagogy and educator platform.

● Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison between the production teams, educational experts, marketing, sales and customer support. Ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged through the product development process.

● Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the learning design team, allocating designer resources, ensuring they are represented, supported and have opportunities for growth.

Requirements

● Professional Experience:

At least 8 years experience in designing or building learning technology related products, ideally with soft-skills, in a senior or leadership role working with teams.

● Skills and Knowledge:

○ Product design and UX

○ Excellent grasp of learning design principles and ability to justify design concepts in terms of pedagogical value.

○ Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills both internally and externally.

○ Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.

○ Ability to think strategically, understand both design and commercial considerations.

○ Ability to work fast and react to dynamic conditions.

○ Inquisitive and collaborative mindset.

○ Willingness to get stuck in where required.

● Highly desirable

○ A background in education, psychology or social sciences.

○ Experience utilising AI inside an educational context.
